The Heroes of Change Project is an opportunity to share the story of someone who was or is an agent of positive change. Marsha P. Johnson was a trailblazer and supporter of the rights of transgender people. Though her name is synonymous with the Stonewall Riots, she did much more than this in her lifetime. She was also the founder the STAR organization to provide aid to transgender people, a member of the Gay Liberation Front, and an AIDS activist.
