(Instructions for Proctored Assessments)
A proctored assessment could be an essay, a speech, lab experiments, etc. The objective of this requirement is to verify that we have identified the student enrolled in the course, and that we have assessed the student enrolled in the course at least once.
Faculty should be familiar with BRCC's Testing Center instructions and are responsible for completing the BRCC Test Administration Request Form.
Students who cannot take the test at the BRCC Testing Center must make arrangements with the instructor to take the test at another approved testing center or through one of BRCC's online proctoring services, if you have it available in your course. It is the student’s responsibility to find an appropriate testing center and complete the student proctor exam form. Students will submit the form to the instructor. The instructor will send the form along with the test and test instructions to the contact person listed on the form. Faculty should also provide the following to the testing center if applicable:
Paper Tests - send a copy of the instructions, as well as the test and scantron, if you would like your students to use them.
Online Tests - provide instructions of how to access the test, as well as the password.
The assessment may be given using one of BRCC’s remote proctoring services: (1) Respondus Lockdown Browser and Video Monitoring, (2) Zoom, (3) Examity (student fee applies).
