The VCCS Hire Education Conference is Virginia’s premier workforce event dedicated to learning and sharing, leadership development, innovation, and collaboration. The Hire Education Conference is an annual professional development gathering of workforce leaders and practitioners to explore and discuss workforce needs of businesses and individuals in the Commonwealth and share best practices to address these needs. This conference has been in existence for over 20 years, positioning Virginia as a national model for workforce development and training.

The 2024 conference theme is Generating Opportunities: Powering Talent & Partnerships. The Virginia Community College System and our workforce partners are dedicated to generating opportunities and powering talent and partnerships throughout the Commonwealth. The conference will focus on strengthening our work as we move forward in creating opportunities for growth as one cohesive workforce development system in Virginia. Our 23 community colleges, functioning as one unified system, provide accessible and affordable education to all, enabling learners to pursue their career aspirations. Fostering partnerships with businesses and industries enables the colleges to ensure its programs and initiatives are aligned with the needs of the workforce, and equipping students with the skills & knowledge to thrive in today’s job market.
