Mrs. Karban's
StudentArt Gallery

Welcome to the EHMS Student Art Gallery

Hi. I'm Mrs. Karban. I am the art teacher at Eastern Heights Middle School in Elyria, Ohio. This is my 18th year teaching Art and I have been here at Eastern Hts. for 14 of those years. I received my Bachelors of Fine Art from Ohio Wesleyan University and had a career in Graphic Design before becoming an Art Teacher. I have also earned a Masters of Education in Secondary Art from Cleveland State University and still enjoy learning new things everyday. I am married with 2  grown children who also came through Eastern Hts. I have been an artist all my life and have always loved working with kids.

I have created this Google Site to showcase my student's art. Normally, I hang up their artwork in the showcase outside my room here at Eastern Hts., but in the new school the showcases are much smaller and harder to hang 2D projects in them. Click on the links above to see select artwork from all my classes. Come back and visit every so often to see what else we have been working on.

I expect all of my students to try their best, follow directions, and be respectful to all in my classroom. I post my lessons each week in Google Classroom with full directions on what to do. Every student has the entire quarter to finish any work for full credit. See me with how and when you can work on your projects outside of class. Grades will be updated as they are turned in. Any questions or concerns you can reach me at karbanelizabeth@elyriaschools.org or at 440-284-8015.

If you would like to let a student know that you like what they have created, please feel free to email me so I can let them know. They are doing a great job.
