Every year we participate in the Elyria Apple Festival Apple Art Contest which is a judged contest with cash prizes. There are 3 winners in each of the 3 categories: Most Creative, Best Use of Color and Best Apple Message. The 8th graders who have art in the first semester participated as well as several 5th, 6th and 7th graders. Eastern Heights Middle School had 4 winners and several Honorable Mentions this year.
