Choir

The Elwood Choir is made up of students in fifth through eighth grades.  We will be performing a wide variety of music and learning many different skills necessary to be an outstanding vocalist. Students rehearse most weeks Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 3:40. I will send home a schedule of practices and performances each month.  There will not be practices on early release days or days when school is not in session. A permission form is required for students to stay after school at practices. Students are not allowed to stay for rehearsal until the permission form is filled out.  

The Choir performs at the Spooktacular, Veterans Day Assembly, Holiday Concert, Spring Concert and more.  Like any team or group, our ensemble truly does rely on the presence of all students at practices and performances.  Students who are in sports and other groups are absolutely welcome to participate.  Students who have home or away games or matches that requires them to leave immediately after school will be excused from choir practices. I will work with coaches and sponsors to make sure your students can experience all the great things Elwood School has to offer.  Communication is key to for us to have a successful year.  Please keep me informed of any planned absences a student may have from practices.
