I am super excited to start this school year with our school theme of Unshakable Joy. We certainly have unshakable joy here at Emmaus as true joy can only be found through Christ and His work done for us on the cross. He loves us, cares for us, desires us so much that He came down from His heavenly throne to be born as a humble baby human, live a perfect life in this sinful world, and take on all our sins so that we might not die eternally. While life (and this school year) will have its ups and downs, Christ and His love for us is the same yesterday, today, and always. We can always find joy in this great truth. This year let us strive to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us all.
7th Grade is a big transition year, in which students have new routines moving to different classes, grow in the amazing bodies God has given them, and dive into deeper concepts questioning more about the world around them. I am blessed to be able to joyfully help guide these students as they traverse the path God has prepared in advance for them.
This webpage has numerous resources to help students be successful this school year, reminders and announcements for upcoming events, and a page to remind us to reflect upon and enjoy the journey we are on. (If you ever have pictures you'd like to share, please send them my way so I can put them in our photo gallery). Please pray for me, the 7th grade class, and all students, staff, and the ministry happening at Emmaus.
Get ready to rejoice, pray, and give thanks this year as we seek God with all our hearts and chart His course!
