Students are not required to own a computer. You will have the option to use a public computer on campus or borrow a laptop for use in the Alumnae Library. If you choose to bring your own computer, check the minimum technology requirements before you purchase a device. Also, be sure to check out the student discounts page for offers on hardware, software, and streaming services.
Students can use the public computers in the Alumnae Library and other areas across campus. Wi-Fi access is available throughout campus. All online systems, such as ElmsConnect, Gmail, Moodle, and Zoom are linked on the ElmsConnect Students page. If you need to borrow equipment, you can request an equipment loan.

Several printers are located in the Alumnae Library, College Center, Berchmans Hall, and in each computer classroom and lab. Students can print from any computer classroom or lab with a valid Elms User ID. Print jobs are managed through the Equitrac print management system. The College provides a $25.00 printing allotment to each student at the beginning of the semester. Copies are $.10 each and automatically deducted from the student’s printing account.
Wireless connectivity is available for Wi-Fi capable personal devices throughout the Elms College campus. There is wireless coverage in every building and outdoor area on campus.
The College provides links to discounted pricing on hardware, software, streaming, and other services for Elms College students. Most offers require the use of a college email address for verification. Please refer to the suggested minimum technology standards before purchasing a computer or laptop.
