Is Selena's decision to feed her dog a vegan diet inconsistent with her responsibilities as a pet owner?
Discussion questions:
Do we have an obligation to consider the realities of an animal's natural diet and habits when we own them as pets?
Is there something hypocritical about being a vegan who purchases animal products for their pet?
Is there a point when the desires or needs of a pet should override their owners' personal choices or desires? When, or what is this point?
Do we have an obligation to optimize our pet's health in all available ways - if accessible to us? Or, is providing our pet with the conditions for 'good enough' health and habits sufficient?
