Hello,
Happy episode four! Today we wanted to introduce you to The Elmbrook Education Foundation, also known as the EEF. The EEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has provided scholarships and grants to Elmbrook students and schools for more than 60 years! The EEF was founded in 1958 by parents and community partners as a scholarship fund, the EEF has since awarded $1,500,000 in scholarships to Elmbrook students and has given $500,000 in grants to Elmbrook educators and schools.
The EEF accomplishes its mission by partnering with parents, teachers, administrators, community members, and businesses throughout the year, highlighted by four annual fundraising events: Boos & Ghouls Night Out and Wine Walk, Ladies’ Night, Circle of Friends, and the Elmbrook Golf Open.
In addition, they partner with The Corners of Brookfield to bring Thank You Thursday, a staff appreciation event throughout the months of February and March.
Complementary to our PTOs, whose focus are the schools they serve, the EEF takes a District-wide approach, with recent initiatives including support for the Nature Center, incorporation of coding into the K-5 curriculum, sensory tool kits in the elementary classrooms, replacement of musical instruments, partnering with Elmbrook’s LAUNCH program, Thank You Thursday and so much more.

New Teacher Welcome Series Team
Greetings,
Congratulations on your new position in the Elmbrook School District! We are very excited to have you join our team. As the school year approaches, I would like to wish you the best on your journey to become what’s next.
Please drop me a quick note about your experience in the Elmbrook School District so far; even just one word to describe it would be great! If a phone call works better, try my cell phone at (262) 312-0596.
I started my journey as a Social Studies teacher at Pewaukee High School and immediately fell in love with this amazing profession. This is the beginning of my 13th year in Elmbrook. Eight years ago, we moved our family here because of the schools. We have never looked back after being lifelong residents of Western Waukesha County. Our youngest will graduate from Brookfield East at the end of this year. What an exciting time!
I am thankful for the incredible staff we have in Elmbrook. It is exactly what helps us be the greatest school district on earth.
And don't forget…
Never miss a chance to have students read, write, think, and speak every day in every classroom. This is the secret sauce to high levels of achievement for all kids. Challenge every student to read, write, think and speak every day in every class.
Never miss a chance to improve. If you see something that can be better, engage in it, shape it, improve it. Improvement can come from anywhere in our system. If you see a process, system, or tradition that could be better, make it better.
Never miss a chance to increase the life chances of our students. Teach to the edges. Show that passion for all kids. For some kids in our system, they will learn regardless, but for others, we are their hope. Never miss a chance to increase life chances for kids.
Every Student, Every Time, All The Time! Promise?
Never miss a chance to say Thank You.
Please let me know if there is anything you need to be even more successful. Thank you for your efforts in making this school year the best year yet!
Sincerely,
Mark Hansen, Superintendent
