Since 2023, we have been dedicated to growing fresh, nutritious lettuce to feed our students. Our innovative hydroponic system allows us to cultivate high-quality produce in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. By using a soilless growing method, we can efficiently manage resources, reduce water usage, and ensure a consistent supply of leafy greens year-round.
One of our students remarked, "I didn't know lettuce could have a flavor!" This sentiment captures the fresh, vibrant taste of our produce. We are proud of this journey towards healthier eating and environmental stewardship as we continue to provide our community with the freshest, locally-grown lettuce straight from our farm to your lunch tray. To learn more about our hydroponic farm watch this video here!
In addition to student meals, our Food & Nutrition Department also offers staff meals. The Department offers a variety of fresh specialty salads that change seasonally. Staff also have the option to order a regular lunch menu item scheduled for the day. Staff salads may be ordered here. Each meal is $5.00 and includes one carton of milk. Staff can access their meal accounts through the self-serve portal on Infinite Campus, money can be added online, cash or check in the line at each building or by sending cash or check to the District Office.
