Language dives are a tier 1 instructional best practice that is essential for ALL learners. The 10-20 minute language-focused lesson is included in the lesson plan and occurs throughout the module. This embedded practice will be to identify the form, function, and purpose of language in a compelling sentence from the module text. Through a whole group guided lesson routine, students will work to deconstruct and reconstruct the sentence.

Conversation Cues are a tier 1 discourse support strategy to ensure all students' voices are lifted in your classrooms. This accountable talk structure ensures students are building both receptive language *listening and productive language *speaking throughout your module instruction.
