From Denver, Colorado. MiaAriela supports the BPS Crew through monthly professional learning opportunities and the BPS Reading Guides. Before joining the Crew at EL Education, MiaAriela was a K-12 bilingual special educator and district leader working to support programmatic structures and create equitable learning opportunities for MLLs.

She lives in Glenwood Springs, CO, and has been a School Coach with EL Education since 2015. Prior to her work at EL, she was a bilingual Kindergarten and Special Education teacher and then a coach in Chicago Public Schools. Since working at EL, Katie has worked with individual schools and districts implementing the EL Core Practices and the EL ELA curriculum in Colorado and across the country. Outside of work, Katie is most likely with her family or outside adventuring with her husband and her dog, Isla.

Resides in Canton, Michigan (Metro Detroit area). Rachel has been in education for the past 20 years as a classroom teacher and an instructional coach. She had the privilege of utilizing EL Education’s curriculum as a teacher and an instructional coach in her district over the last five years.
