ApplyTexas is a centralized web portal for students to apply for admission to Texas higher education institutions. The purpose of the program is to allow students to complete one application and submit it to multiple institutions. Students will create an account that will manage all applications.
Students should plan to complete all of the required college application paperwork by November or early December. If you plan to apply to a public college/university in Texas, you will need to complete the “Texas Common Application” at www.applytexas.org.
Be sure to complete all requirements (i.e. ordering transcripts, writing essays, housing application, etc.) by the required deadline. Deadlines vary, so pay particular attention to the school(s) you have chosen.
Some universities have also included an optional “common scholarship application” on the Texas Common Application. It is important that you complete this section. By doing so, you will be applying for numerous scholarships that are unique to that specific university.
