offers a wide variety of courses designed to meet the needs of all students.

Courses in Business and Information Technology prepare students to become productive members of the business community and to enter a post-secondary institution after graduation. Students develop competencies in such areas of instruction as legal operations of business, administrative support, information management, accounting, web design, and business management.

The Business and Information Technology program consists of three components: 

• classroom/laboratory experiences, which provide instruction that meets industry validated standards;

• work-based learning directly related to classroom instruction in the form of internships, cooperative education, school-based enterprises, and youth apprenticeship;

• and the student organization of FBLA, which provides co-curricular activities within the program area to develop teamwork and leadership skills.

A student can earn a Career Pathway in Entrepreneurship by taking the following sequence of courses:

• Intro to Business and Technology

• Legal Environment of Business

• Entrepreneurship

A student can earn a Career Pathway in Business Accounting by taking the following sequence of courses:

• Intro to Business and Technology

• Money & Me - Financial Literacy

• Accounting I

A student can earn a Career Pathway in Web & Digital Design by taking the following sequence of courses:

• Intro to Digital Technology

• Digital Design

• Web Design

A student can earn a college computer science credit, high school math credit, and/or high school science credit by taking the following course:

• AP Computer Science Principles (pre-approval required)
