Lord, we ask that you lift up the performers designers and technicians on this production tonight. Father, you have loved these people unconditionally, before they ever created their first scene, costume, set, or play, before they ever stepped into a theatre.
God, we ask that you guide these young, creative minds tonight and allow them to flourish and succeed despite any adversity. Provide them with the confidence to reach their potential and offer them the strength and will to give back to their audience what you have so graciously given to them in the gift of the arts.
Father, we ask for you to not only reveal your love to them in a deeper way, but we thank you for providing them with a sanctuary that has allowed them to discover their true self; a “safe zone” where they can be themselves, and be in the company of those who love them, with genuine care for who they are, where the “performance” and “personas” can come off.
Father, we ask also that you will bless them after the production closes, in their leisure time, with true refreshment and rejuvenation, and help them to realize that the immense efforts they have put into this production aren’t for nothing.
Father, while these students anchor themselves in you, we thank you for providing them with the gift that is the arts community. This new ‘family’ that they have become has opened their hearts, allowed them to be vulnerable, and through this experience they are more able to see your love.
We ask Father, for them to stay close to you and listen to your voice. We ask Father, that as our grade 12’s move on toward new horizons, that you will open up opportunities for them to step into that will be pleasing to you and will help them to find the path that you have chosen for them. We pray for you to lovingly and peacefully guide them into where you want them.
Father, we ask for all these things in Jesus name, Amen.
