The graduation requirements represent the minimum, foundational requirements needed for a student to graduate from high school. These requirements were developed by instructors with the belief that learners will need different skills and dispositions to be successful in a world where even the near future is unpredictable. It is the intention of these proficiencies that learners will leave high school prepared for whatever the future may bring.
Foundational Credits are content credits required for graduation.
Transferable Skills are required for graduation and can be earned in any content area of outside experiences.
Advanced credits are not required and can be earned in any content area or more than one content area.
For students who take and succeed or excel in certain classes, Foundational or Advanced credits may be awarded without the student's evidence needing to be approved by the Evidence Review Team. These students are still encouraged to put evidence of their success and work they are proud of into their PLP and into the Mastery Transcript. As Priority Standards and learning scales used in classes are developed and refined, Foundational and Advanced credits will be aligned with this language.
