      • Discussion

  • Reminder to Enroll into Google Classroom

  • Get seating charts corrected.

  • Remind about Class Syllabus agreement. Due Monday.

  • Go over Class Syllabus and Class Introduction Prezi

  • Go over and explain mrpaxton.com website.

  • Student Introduction Survey

  • Talk about Fire, Tornado, Lockdown procedures.

Week 2

DAY 4

• • Bellringer / Take Attendance

    • • TRUE/FALSE:  You only get 2 passes per week in Mr. Paxton's class. 

      • How many tardies to class will get you your first detention for being tardy to class? 

      • What is a "Royal?" 

      • Favorite three Olympic Sports to watch? 

      • Discussion

  • Remind to have parents fill out the Syllabus agreement form that is on Google Classroom.  DUE TODAY!  Will mark as zero tomorrow.

  • Introduce Google Classroom

    • • Go over Google Classroom Areas (Stream, Classwork, People, Grades, To-Do)

      • Explain that "returned" on Google Classroom means I put the grade in Skyward.

  • Begin Chromebook Introduction

    • • Chromebook Introduction

        • • Put Google Classroom, Skyward, Aleks and other useful links on the chromebook shelf

  • Introduce SKYWARD. 

    • • Make sure they know how to log in to skyward

      • Show how to check grades, homework, attendance, lunch, and discipline. 

DAY 5 - 6

• • Bellringer / Take Attendance

    • • What is the name of the area on the Chromebook screen that you can put shortcuts to websites that I showed you in class? 

      • How much space does your chromebook have to save files since your google account is a Google for Education account? 

      • What area of SKYWARD can you find your missing assignments? 

      • Discussion

  • Demonstrate pixlr.com, photoscissors.com, and cooltext.com

  • PIXLR GRAPHICS

    • • Use Pixlr Editor on your chromebook to create your graphic using layers.

      • Save the graphic as a JPG to your chromebook and turn it in on Google Classroom.

      • Create two graphics.

        • • 1 either EH related or Tech related

          • 1 anything you want

      • Graphics must be 1200 x 600 in size

      • Graphics must have:

        • • a background

          • a cooltext wording

          • a picture that was cropped out using photoscissors

DAY 7 - 8

• • Bellringer / Take Attendance

    • • Put Bellringer questions here

  • Help those finish tech graphic assignment for 5 minutes.

  • Instagram Story Picture Assignment

    • • you must use your chromebook and take at least 3 pictures of yourself posing somewhere in the school.  You can work with a group of no more than 3 people to help you take the picture with your chromebook.  Try to have 1 of the pictures with someone from the school. DO NOT ENTER A CLASSROOM THAT HAS A CLASS GOING ON!! But if you see a staff member in the hallway, you can have your picture taken with them if they want to.  Be sure to take your own pictures with your own chromebook, have someone in your group use your chromebook to take the picture.  NO PICTURES IN THE BATHROOMS!

      • We will then use PIXLR, Cooltext, and photoscissors to create our own Instagram story.
