Google Transfer

Use the Google Transfer feature to copy your Google Drive data from your EGUSD student account to your personal Google account.

If your EGUSD data exceeds the storage limit on your personal Google account (15 gigabytes) or you do not have a personal Google account, you will need to use the Google Takeout Feature as an alternative to obtaining your data. If this is the case, please refer to the Google Takeout page and video tutorial.

Please note that you will NOT be able to perform this procedure on a Chromebook. You will need to use an EGUSD PC or Workstation.

Step 1: Go to https://takeout.google.com/transfer - When you are prompted for your username, type in your EGUSD student ID number followed by @egusd.net, then click next. Then enter your password, then click next.

Step 2: You will be asked to enter a destination account. Enter your personal Gmail address in the box provided. Then click the Send Code button.

Step 3: From a personal device, check your Gmail for an account verification email. In this email you will see a button to get the confirmation code. Click the button and an eight digit, alphanumeric code will be displayed for you to enter into the account verification box on the Google Transfer screen. Once you’ve entered the code, click verify.

Step 4: Select the content to copy and transfer. The blue toggle for Google Drive should be selected while any other toggles should be deselected. Google Drive data will only be allowed for transfer. Once you confirm this, click the Start Transfer Button to begin the process.

Note: This could take anywhere from a few minutes to several days depending on the amount of data you have in your Google Drive.
