Google Classroom will be the online platform for our classroom structure.
IXL will be an online platform for practicing math skills. Students will have assigned activities on IXL. The IXL Skill SmartScore is an accurate indicator of a student’s level of skill mastery. The SmartScore (SS) is determined by the rigor, accuracy, and consistency of student responses. It is not a percentage, but the range of scores is 0 - 100.
myHRW- (my.hrw.com) is the website that aligns with student textbooks. The site includes instructional “Math on the Spot” videos, readiness assessments, practice problems, and post-assessments.
Synergy will be the online platform for grading. GRADED AND MISSING ASSIGNMENTS, ASSESSMENTS, AND ESQs ARE FOUND HERE!
Due dates for assessments and assignments will be verbally addressed in class and posted in the Google Classroom.
It is the student’s responsibility to gather any material from the Google Classroom, and make-up any assignments or assessments they missed while they were absent. Hand written notes covered in class are in the back of the classroom for students to copy.
Assessments and assignments will always be due by the start of the class period.
Once a unit test is given, the assessments and assignments that go with that unit will not be accepted.*
**Please email Ms. Haren (prior to the due date) to discuss having to turn in an assessment or assignment after the due date for any reasoning.
Attendance will be taken at the beginning of class each school day.
In order for a student to be marked on time for the class period they must be sitting in their seat at the sound of the bell. Students who are not sitting in their seat when the bell rings will be marked tardy.
A student’s parent/guardian should contact the front office for any absences that need to be excused.
