MYP Subjects

Which subjects are compulsory in the MYP?

The IB requires that each student in grades 7 - 10 grade enroll in the following subjects:

• Language and Literature (English)

• Language Acquisition (World Language)

  • must be the same language in all grades

• Individuals and Societies (World Civilizations, History, Geography, etc.)

• Sciences

• Mathematics

• Arts

• Physical and Health Education

• Design

The LCHS Counseling Department staff facilitates student course selection.  The course selection process usually begins during the month of December and extends into the beginning of semeser 2 in January thru February.  Please refer to the LCHS Counseling Deparment - Course Selection website for more information.
