Students may apply for CSF membership each SEMESTER (end of Terms 2 and 4). Acceptance is determined by grades from the PRIOR SEMESTER (Terms 3 and 4 of the previous school year for Fall, and Terms 1 and 2 for Spring). A student must earn a minimum of 10 CSF points in 5 qualified subjects from pre-approved course lists. An “A” equals 3 CSF points and a “B” equals 1 CSF point, D’s and F’s disqualifies a student that semester. Juniors and Seniors who meet the qualifications are invited to apply end of August. Sophomores are invited to begin applying in January.
You’ll need to provide proof of your grades by printing a copy of your unofficial transcript. Applicants must turn in their transcript to Ms. Haren in HJ-5 and a properly filled out application.
Students must pay a membership fee of $1.00 each semester after submitting an application.
Because of the high standards of CSF, colleges and universities take special note and interest in CSF members.
Students who maintain membership for a minimum of four semesters (one of which must include grades from their senior year) are awarded Sealbearer Status/Lifetime Membership.
Lifetime members are honored and recognized in a variety of ways including:
CSF lifetime lamp pin (received at Senior Award Night)
Gold cord to wear at graduation
Official CSF chapter seal on diploma
Indication of Sealbearer status on their permanent academic record (transcript)
No, stoles are only provided if you are a Lifetime Member AND have completed the required hour tutoring requirement by the end of senior year. Lifetime Membership is awarded to students who maintain membership for a minimum of four semesters (one of which must include grades from their senior year).
