All members of CSF will be placed in a CSF Google Classroom. Non members will be removed.
REMINDERS: You must reapply for CSF every Fall (use term 3&4 grades) and every Spring (use term 1&2 grades).
If you have been a member of CSF for 4 semesters or more (one of which must include grades from senior year), you will qualify for Sealbearer Status/Lifetime membership* (learn more about this in the FAQ section).
If you are a lifetime (Sealbearer) member and you meet the hours required for peer-tutoring, you will receive a gold stole for graduation.
Incoming Sophomores will be able to apply for CSF during the Spring 2025 Application Drive in January.
Dues are $1.00 and required during every application drive (Fall and Spring). You can pay the $1.00 due in the Student Store. Failure to pay dues will result in loss of membership for that semester.
*Lifetime members are students who maintain membership for a minimum of four semesters (one of which must include grades from their senior year) and are honored and recognized by receiving:
CSF lifetime lamp pin (received at Senior Award Night)
Gold cord to wear at graduation
Official CSF chapter seal on diploma
Indication of Sealbearer status on their permanent academic record (transcript)
** Stoles are endowed to senior lifetime members who have completed their peer-tutoring requirement.
To qualify for CSF membership each semester (2 terms), follow these guidelines:
1. You must earn a minimum of 10 points from the previous semester's grades.
a. At least 4 points must be from LIST I. If you have all 10 points from List I stop.
b. 7 points can be from LISTS I and II.
c. The remaining points may come from any LIST III…only if you need it.
2. You must use no more than 5 courses to qualify. Use the fewest courses you need to get at least 10 points
3. No CSF points are given for physical education, courses taken in lieu of physical education, subjects repeated to improve a grade, courses involving clerking and office/teaching assistant, and courses taken on a pass/fail basis.
4. CSF points are granted as follows:
grade of A = 3 CSF points
grade of B = 1 CSF point
grade of C = 0 CSF points (*C in AP or Honors is considered a zero*)
grade of D or F in any class disqualifies you at this time…even if you have enough points.
One additional point shall be granted for a grade of A or B (not for C) in an AP or Honors course, up to a maximum of two such points per semester. This means you may not have 4 points listed more than twice even if you earned As in all your honors/AP classes.
