Chess club is held after school once per week and generally runs from the resumption of school after winter break until spring break. Parent volunteers are so helpful in making sure that things run smoothly - chess experience is not necessary. Chess club is incredibly popular here at Lakeside!
Crochet Club
Crochet club takes place on Tuesdays at second recess. It is open to 3rd through 5th graders and is a fun way to learn a new skill avoid the chilly weather this winter! Parent volunteers are needed to help supervise and guide the students. No crochet experience is necessary! help the runners track their laps so they can earn a prize!
Running club is a fun way to get moving at recess twice a week from spring break through the end of the school year. Parent volunteers help the runners track thier laps so they can earn a prize!

The Lakeside Elementary musical occurs each spring. All grade levels are able to participate with K-2 performing the opening number and upper elementary students have the opportinity to audition for specific parts. Parent volunteers help ensure the younger students are learning their song and dance while volunteers for the older grades help with the set and costuming.
Sign-ups for the musical and volunteers will come out in December/January.
