Crochet Club
Crochet club takes place on Tuesdays at second recess. It is open to 3rd through 5th graders and is a fun way to learn a new skill avoid the chilly weather this winter! Parent volunteers are needed to help supervise and guide the students. No crochet experience is necessary. The commitment is only about 30 minutes.
Chess club is held on Tuesdays after school in the winter. Parent volunteers are so helpful in making sure that things run smoothly - chess experience is not necessary. Supervision is helpful for problem solving and making sure the students stay on task. Those with experience can assist the students with chess learning.
More ways to help
One of Lakeside’s long running traditions is having families in our school community provide snacks and drinks for the staff and teachers each Wednesday to show our appreciation for how hard they work. If you would like to provide snacks one Wednesday this year, view the sign-up for info!
There are several special events held at Lakeside each year, including our Veteran's Day assembly, The Scholastic Book Fair, our beloved Bedtime Stories Event and multiple school concerts. These events are almost always a one time commitment during the event or event set-up.
Lakeside has a couple of awesome clubs and extra curricular activities. The staff often seek volunteers to help make the meetings/practices run smoothly!
Thank you all so much for your help in pulling off a very successful ROAR! We could not have done it without our awesome volunteers and all those who attended!
