All students who participate in theatre productions at EGRHS (on- or off-stage) must pay an activity fee. The "Pay to Perform" fee can be paid by cash or check made out to EGR Public Schools. Payment can also be made on School Pay. Payment can be given to the Theatre Director and is due at the first company meeting. Checks or cash provided in-person is our preferred payment method, since this is the easiest way to keep track of payments.
East Grand Rapids High School
Pay to Perform Fees for 2025-26 School Year
The school district provides bookkeeping services, utilities, custodial services, and production staff stipends, and use of the PAC and Little Auditorium for rehearsals and performances
“Pay to Perform” fees go directly to the School District to help cover the above costs. These fees do NOT go toward the actual production needs for each show. All costs to actually produce productions (i.e. costumes, publicity, sets, royalties and scripts, properties) come from ticket sales and program advertising and donations directly to the high school theatre program.
Pay to Perform Fee Schedule
Mainstage Productions (Fall Play, Winter Play, Musical) - $100.00 one-time fee for all students in the cast and crew.
One-time fee regardless of how many of the above shows a student participates in during a given school year
No fee for set construction, ushering, or publicity
Additional programming (24 Hour Theatre, Student Play, etc.) - $15.00 per show
The Family Max is $300.00 per year
All show activity fees are due by the first rehearsal or first production meeting for each show. All checks are payable to EGR Public Schools. There is also a category on “School Pay.”
If you need scholarship assistance to cover this fee, please contact the EGRHS Theatre Director (Mr. Aukeman) or the EGRHS Stage Boosters.
