24 Hour Theatre is a collection of student-run productions (10-minute plays) that are written, produced, and performed in just 24 hours! Student writers will gather at 7:00pm on Friday, September 18, to write new plays in just 12 hours. The next morning, directors, actors, and crew - all students - arrive, receive the plays (written especially for a set of actors), and rehearse for 12 hours. That evening (September 19), each play is performed for the public in the EGRHS Little Auditorium.
All EGRHS students are welcome to participate in 24 Hour Theatre! We need writers, directors, actors, and crew. Whether you are an experienced thespian or just curious about theatre, this is a fun and low-commitment way to be part of a show! No audition or past experience is required. It takes a large group coming together to make a show happen. 24 Hour Theatre is always one of most fun days of the year! This is YOUR CHANCE to see how it all happens!
