When:
Every Thursday morning from 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
Parent drop-off should be at the Burchard parking lot on the north side of the building. Students may enter the school beginning at 7:40 a.m. through door 9 by the gym and report directly to the music room with their coats, backpacks, etc. Students are not to stop at their lockers before choir!
Our first choir rehearsal will be on Thursday, September 24th. Please feel free to join the following week if you miss the first practice.
Requirements:
Be on time for rehearsals (7:40 a.m. sign-in).
This is very important, as we move quite fast in choir. Arriving late can cause students to miss warm ups and important announcements.
Attend all rehearsals and concerts unless excused (A written note, Remind message, or an e-mail to: spugia@egrps.org).
Commit to the group!
Use critical thinking and good musicianship during each rehearsal.

Complete the following (at the bottom of this page):
Fill out the Sign Up Form by Friday, September 18th
a. If you need to order a choir shirt, order one in this form.
If you order a choir shirt, pay for it on SchoolPay by Friday, October 16th..
Sign up for this year's choir Remind Class by Friday, September 18th.

Remind
In case of any emergencies or communication needs, I have set up a Remind texting link.
This will allow me to send a text to you, contingent upon signing up, with any reminders or last-minute announcements. This will be the best way to communicate with me quickly.
You do not need to sign up for the app to receive Remind messages. You are able to receive Remind messages as a text.

Choir Shirts
Choir shirts are $15 and can be paid through SchoolPay here.
If you need financial assistance, please contact Lea Hileman at lhileman@egrps.org.
Please submit shirt size(s) and payment by Friday, October 16th.
We will continue to use the same choir shirt design as previous years. If you already have an EGR choir shirt, you do not need to re-purchase.

Breakfast
If your child(ren) will need their school breakfast while they are here for choir, we will ensure that they have the opportunity to do so. Students will grab a bag on their way to choir and may eat before choir starts or after to avoid choking hazards.
"No Rehearsal" Weeks:
There will be no choir rehearsal on the following dates:
November 26th (Thanksgiving Break)
December 17th & January 7th, 2027 (Winter Break)
January 21st, 2027 (MLK Week)
February 18th, 2027 (Presidents’ Day Week)
April, 1st 2027 (Melodies in March & Spring Break)
May 20th, 2027 & May 27th, 2027 (End of Year)
Safeties
If your child is assigned to a post that will conflict with choir rehearsals, they are encouraged to find a sub for Tuesday mornings. It is okay if they cannot find someone to fill their post. If they have any questions, they may talk to Mrs. Benham (through October) or let Ms. Pugia know. It is possible to do both!
