MICHIGAN VIRTUAL: Students take an on-line class with a Michigan, highly qualified certified teacher, and have an assigned mentor from EGRHS for support. They work independently during their on-line hour. Grades are only calculated at the semester. Students may take up to two on-line courses per semester.
DUAL ENROLLMENT: Students who meet the qualifications for Dual Enrollment may enroll in college courses in addition to courses at the high school. Students who successfully complete the college course can earn credit for college. Students may take up to 10 dual enrolled classes in high school.
KCTC: The Kent Career Technical Center at the Kent Intermediate School District provides vocational education and training for 22 different programs to juniors and seniors. Students apply to and attend the program during a portion of their school day. Students earn credits for their work at KCTC as well as for traditional classes completed at EGRHS. LAUNCH U: Launch U is offered through the partnership of Kent ISD and Grand Rapids Community College giving students an opportunity to earn a general Associate Degree, or a specialized Associate Degree in Mechanical Design at no cost, while earning their high school diploma.
