The most advanced irrigation and soil chemistry cannot save a tree that is genetically mismatched for its environment. At EgroTree, we treat Species Selection as a rigorous engineering decision. We curate and deploy climate-adaptive varieties that are specifically "vetted" for the high-bicarbonate, high-heat, and low-water profiles of the Rajasthan dunes.
Climate Hardy Cultivars
We prioritize varieties that have a natural "biological tolerance" for thermal extremes.
Thermal Resilience: We select species that can maintain photosynthesis during extreme heatwaves and survive the localized ground frosts of the desert winter.
Low Evapotranspiration Rates: Our chosen varieties are masters of water use efficiency, thriving with minimal hydration by naturally reducing water loss through their leaves.
Soil Adaptability
In the alkaline, saline-heavy earth of the desert, we choose rootstocks and varieties based on their chemical "toughness."
Alkalinity Tolerance: We select species that can thrive in high pH environments without suffering from iron chlorosis or nutrient lockout.
Salt Exclusion: Our varieties are chosen for their ability to either tolerate high salt levels in the soil or "exclude" salt at the root level, ensuring the foliage remain healthy.
