You can’t manage what you don’t measure
At EgroTree Jaitpur, we are officially moving from "planting" to "precision management." This week, we kicked off a massive tagging and data-collection initiative for 1,500 trees.
To ensure every tree thrives in our specific terrain, we’ve divided the plantation into 5 strategic blocks (A, B, C, D, and E), with 300 trees.
We aren't just counting trees; we’re building a living database.
For every single tree, we are tracking:
Date of Plantation: To track age-to-yield ratios.
Present Girth: Our primary key performance indicator for health and carbon sequestration.
Precise Location & Placement: Analyzing how "boundary" trees perform vs. "inner block" trees.
Visual Documentation: A photographic record of development.
The Strategy:
Every 3 months, we will re-measure the girth. This comparative data will allow us to spot trends, identify underperforming zones, and take immediate corrective action, whether that’s adjusting our drip irrigation cycles or soil nutrition.
In an environment where every drop of water and inch of soil counts, data is the difference between a forest that survives and a forest that flourishes.
