We Deliver!
EGCSD Library Mission Statement: The mission of the East Greenbush Central School District Library Program is to provide student-centered instruction and curricular support to equip learners with the skills needed to thrive in a changing global environment. We cultivate avid lifelong readers of diverse written works, ethical users of technology, and critical thinkers. We attain this through direct instruction and collaborative co-teaching with classroom teachers in accordance with the Empire State Information Fluency Continuum Standards. We aim to provide a safe environment with equitable access to expertly curated resources across the district in order to help students excel and achieve maximum potential in a 21st century learning community.
The East Greenbush School District values quality information resources and pays for respected databases. In a world of "fake news" and information overload, these are trusted sources written and evaluated by experts. When doing research, use these quality databases to learn about your topic.
Databases also provide cited information. As new users of technology we want our students to be digital citizens that respect and honor the sources they learn from. Below are links to sites that provide royalty free and fair use photos.
