The human phenomenon where we’re in a crowd by the water in the heat, stripped, unashamed just enjoying the bare essentials of contact with the sand, the ocean, the sun, close to total strangers, roasting, drinking, screaming, barefoot, outside the comfort zone somehow the beach becomes so basically enjoyable, colorful, noisy yet peaceful, like one big open party, like everyone seems connected in one absolute chaos!
What is that affinity for water that humans have? To feel the sand under our feet, the sun rays burning our skin, the waves cleansing our spirit, while we immerse in our own world while mingling with a community of beachgoers.
Feeling the sand, wet and grainy, filtering through our toes, playing with the water as it cools the body, she walks into the sea. The boys run their youth out for miles under the blazing summer sun, a team race that will culminate in the cool ocean.
Take cover from the sun rays, with colored parasols that contrast with the grand blue ocean and immense blue sky, it's exactly how a day at the beach should feel.
The minimalist experience you have on the beach, all you need is whatever you're wearing & a towel. If I were in fashion I'd make beautiful towels to go.
Even in the solitude of sunset we connect with ourselves, barefoot to the sand, you're not alone.
Sunbathing feels so good, it's sort of like smoking...you know it will damage you in the long run, but you just want to bake there forever.
In the Beachgoer series, I’m capturing images and editing to the antithesis of the crisp clean photo I always strive to take, I feel everything has already been done in photography, I want something new, different, I’m challenging my own esthetics, some shots with various optics, blurring, saturating colors & shapes too the extremes, most of the time I can’t even see what I’m taking given the focal length, it’s just a snap shot into the distance…others are shot with different lens and cameras but all tend to capture the atmosphere, it's as impressionist as a photograph can get #beach#lifeisabeach #florida #clearwaterbeach #superzoom #beachgoerseries
