When you sit for your IELTS, you will not be given a choice of questions to answer. You don't get to pick one you feel comfortable with. This tool links to a bank of Task 1 papers. For those who are ready, if you want to practice the writing task effectively, you should do so under test conditions.
Write Under Test Conditions
Get a friend or family member to help you simulate test conditions by being your time keeper. Give yourself 20 minutes for a Task 1 answer. Use the type of delivery you expect to sign up for at test time. In other words, if you're going to take the computer-based IELTS, then you should be typing your answers. For those writing their answers by hand, do so on the official IELTS test paper. You can download the printable PDF here.
