El Dorado County Public Library

Through the public library, you can get access to thousands of eBooks. Don't have a public library card? No worries! You can get a temporary one through their website today!

Then use the Libby App or the Overdrive App on your phone to access the collection using your library card.

eBooks through the library can be read on your phone or be sent to a Kindle.

Junior Library Guild Digital Collection

Aimed at K-12 readers, Junior Library Guild Digital Collection houses multiple eBooks and audiobooks for students to access. Please use the username and password under the picture to access this limited trial.

Listen on your computer or take it on-the-go with the JLG Digital App. Available only for iOS in the app store.

Abdo Digital Bookshelf

Abdo is offering access to their digital collection of classics and nonfiction during this time of school closures. All books are read on a computer with an easy format to navigate, as if you are actually flipping the pages of a paper book.

Free Kindle Library Books

Amazon is offering a variety of free eBooks to their users during this time of physical distancing. They offer Children's Books, Adult Books, Classic Literature, and more. Keep checking back for updates.

To access these books, go through the link above and you can send the books to your Kindle or access them through the free Kindle Reading App, which is downloadable in the App Store, Google Play Store, and for your desktop computer. You will need an Amazon account in order to access and download these books.

Sacramento Public Library

You can apply online for a temporary Sacramento Public Library card, which will be good for 90 days. Once branches reopen, you will need to pick up a physical card at the closest library (Orangevale or Fair Oaks).

Once you get the temporary card, you can use it to check out eBooks and audiobooks from their collection using the Libby app or the Overdrive app on your phone available in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Hoopla - Through Sacramento Public Library

With your Sacramento Public Library card (see above), you will have access to the Hoopla app.

Hoopla allows you to choose from thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, and comics with NO WAITING.

Download the app, connect your Sacramento Public Library card, and download titles. Normally allowed limit is 5 borrows per month, but Hoopla is introducing Bonus Borrows that don't count towards your monthly limit through April 30th.

Riveted by Simon Teen

From the publisher Simon Teen, Riveted offers a monthly rotation of free eBooks. Books must be read within the month and change at the end of the month. In order to read the book, you will need to register for a Riveted account first and then access the free eBook.

Books can only be read on a computer and not on devices unless accessed through the browser on your phone.

Teen Book Cloud

Teen Book Cloud is an online database of eBooks and educator resources for middle school and high school. They have eBooks, classics, audiobooks, graphic novels, and "enhanced" eBooks.

All eBooks and audiobooks are accessed through the browser.
