Nicole Brugman, an Ecologist for the City of Calgary, spoke to the Grade 3/4 classes on Wednesday about the 12 Mile Coulee project.

Exploring Twelve Mile Coulee Through the Eyes of Children
We would like to thank Parks Foundation for this opportunity! Whenever possible---We take our learning outside! ---In every season! We call it ‘Coulee School’ and document our learnings on school-based Coulee School websites we create with students. We will be working to set up some pop-up information/art installations that include QR codes and would invite anyone walking in the Coulee to find out more about the plants, wildlife and physical structures of the Coulee that we have been studying. Our work includes exploring Indigenous histories, stories and perspectives of the Coulee that we investigate with our Elder too!

Planning for Inquiry - The Launch of Coulee School
