Georgia State University is located in the South East region of the U.S.A, with a mild climate and vibrant communities.
We are also one of the youngest, yet fastest growing universities in the state of Georgia. With over 250 different majors and pathways to choose from and over 400 clubs and organizations, students are sure to find their passions while making lifelong professional and personal connections. The city of Atlanta provides a bright, urban college experience with a vast of array of shopping, restaurants, and activities on and off campus.
Students can choose to begin at Perimeter College, which offers Associate degrees and a simple transition to our main campus, or they can start their Bachelor degree right away in downtown Atlanta. There are multiple paths students can take to reach their educational goals. In addition to that, students are automatically considered for scholarships through admission as long as they apply by our scholarship deadline, no additional application required!
We have over 3 thousand international students representing over 170 different countries. And although our numbers seem large, students are still able to make a home away from home with a 23;1 student faculty ratio

Scholarships / Financial Aid
Georgia State may offer Campus Atlanta Scholarships (100% out of state tuition waiver) to qualified incoming international students who have more than 3.6 GPA or with strong SAT or ACT score. Students with lower than 3.6 GPA may be considered for a partial (50%) of the scholarship (out of state tuition waiver). Once the out of state tuition waiver is offered, students will be able to receive it for up to 4 years during their study at GSU while maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA. Transfer students who have less than 90 transferable credit hours and meet the academic credentials may also be considered. The 100% waiver allows international students to pay the in-state tuition rate. There is no additional application required and all international students are automatically considered (if GPA has been met) upon admittance into the University. Students can seek up to $19,000 in scholarship that will go towards their tuition and allow them to pay the in-state tuition rate.
