Embassy Engagement and Reception, September 15th, 2025
Embassy Engagement and Reception: 3pm-7pm.
On September 15, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, the U.S. Embassy will host a focused reception bringing together the Consular Team, EducationUSA advisers, high school counselors, and key education partners to strengthen ties and foster collaboration. This event is designed to enhance communication on visa processes, student recruitment strategies, and outreach initiatives with a spotlight on leveraging EducationUSA’s global advising network to bolster U.S. higher education recruitment . Attendees will benefit from brief remarks by Embassy staff, and an informal networking session to spark joint initiatives, refine coordination, and expand each organization’s recruiter network.

Location: Along Kampala-Jinja Highway (1-hour drive)
Highlight: Guided forest walks, birdwatching, zip-lining, and scenic picnic spots.
7. Source of the Nile – Jinja
Location: Jinja Town (2 hours from Kampala)
Highlight: Visit the spot where the River Nile begins its journey from Lake Victoria; enjoy boat rides and riverside dining.
Wildlife & Adventure
1. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Location: Along Kampala-Gulu Highway (approx. 3 hours from Kampala)
Highlight: Guided rhino tracking on foot, birdwatching, and nature walks.
2. Lake Mburo National Park
Location: Western Uganda (approx. 3-4 hours from Kampala)
Highlight: Game drives, boat cruises, and sightings of zebras, hippos, and antelope.
3. Murchison Falls National Park (For adventurous travelers)
Location: Northwestern Uganda (requires a multi-day trip)
Highlight: Spectacular waterfalls, wildlife safaris, and boat cruises on the Nile.
