TOURIST RECOMMENDATIONS
Addis Ababa has a rich cultural history and many beautiful places to visit. If you have additional time in the city, there's so much to explore! Do note, Uber does not operate here, but there is a local equivalent called Ride. If you choose this option, we recommend paying in cash and ensuring your cell phone plan works (some international plans that work elsewhere in the region do not work here). Alternatively, hotels are very happy to help you arrange taxis to wherever you need to go.
1) Located on the same grounds as the National Palace, Unity Park is makes for a wonderful visit, with art, history, and even a zoo to explore.
2) Very close to Unity Park and the Sheraton Hotel, Friendship Park offers a gorgeous place to take a walk and unwind after a hectic day, complete with a fountain and artificial lake.
3) If you've ever wanted to see the first human ancestor, pop in to the National Museum of Ethiopia to see your great-great-great-+-grandmother, Lucy.
4) History lovers will also enjoy the newly opened Adwa Museum, highlighting the battle of Adwa and other important moments of cultural history.
5) Entoto Natural Park is a nature lovers dream, with breathtaking mountaintop views and a delightful spa on site.
