Edgars Creek Secondary College offers a limited number of Early Access VCE places for Year 10 students who demonstrate strong academic ability, excellent work habits and readiness for the demands of VCE study. Students accepted into the program undertake one VCE Units 1 & 2 subject in Year 10 in place of two semester-based electives.

Application Process
Applications for the Early Access VCE program open during Term 2 of Year 9. Students and families are encouraged to carefully consider the academic expectations and commitment required before applying. Entry into the program is competitive and is based on a range of factors, including academic performance, teacher recommendations and professional judgement.
Students wishing to apply in Term 2 of Year 9 will:
Submit an Early Access VCE application form.
Nominate preferred VCE subjects.
Provide teacher recommendations.
Write a short statement outlining their academic strengths, work ethic and future career pathways.
Attend an interview if successful.Â
