To kick off this term, we have begun our poetry unit. For the next four weeks, we will be exploring poems by a variety of different people, in a variety of different formats. One poem that we have explored is The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. This version is the one we liked the most!
Our first topic for term 3 was all about fractions. We have been focusing on how to add and subtract fractions that are different, using the Lowest Common Multiple or Lowest Common Denominator strategies! It was tough be we worked hard!
Our CBL focus for this term is all about change and what we can do to make a change in our community. We are super excited to be running our Market Day towards the end of the term and we have already chosen what charities we want to donate our whole class earnings to!
Ask us who our class is donating to!
Our first focus for Personal and Social learning has been all about friendship! We have been looking at what makes a good friend and what traits we value in a friend.
We made our own recipes for a friend, to show the traits we think are most important in a friend. What do you think is the most important trait?

Over the last two weeks, we have been exploring angles and how we use them in real life! It has been super interesting to learn about new kinds of angles, such as complementary and supplementary angles! How many of these angles can you name?
In CBL, we have been exploring different types of economic systems and how they meet our wants and needs. Part of this has been thinking about our wants and needs when we are 12 and when we are 20. What were your wants and needs at 12 and 20?
Term 3 means health for year 6! Over the last few weeks, we have been exploring what good hygene looks like, the changes males and females go through during puberty and who we can talk to to support us with these changes! All money earned from the day will be donated to various charities, chosen by each year 6 class.
In week 6, we celebrated Bullying No Way week by focusing on all the ways we can support others and stop bullying. We watched lots of webinars and had plenty of in depth conversations about the various ways we can support our peers. It was amazing to see the whole school involved in this week!
