Science

The following Year 10 subjects are offered at CSC

During Year 10, all students undertake at least on semester (1 unit) of Science but may choose to undertake an second unit as well. The semester-long units available are "Biology & Psychology" and "Physics & Chemistry". 

• "Biology & Psychology" prepares students for a pathway to VCE Biology, VCE Psychology or VCE Environmental Science.

• "Physics & Chemistry" prepares students for a pathway to VCE Physics, VCE Chemistry or VCE Environmental Science.

Students can choose to do one, both or either of these. That is, they must choose one of the following options:

• Just "Biology & Psychology" (1 semester) for students that prefer life sciences

• Just "Physics & Chemistry" (1 semester) for students that prefer physical  sciences

• Both "Biology & Psychology" AND "Physics & Chemistry".  (1 semester each) for students with a broad interest in sciences

• Either "Biology & Psychology" OR "Physics & Chemistry".  (1 semester total) for students with no preference for science
