Physics & Chemistry {1}*

Focus:

This semester length unit enables students to engage with concepts and explore applications of patterns in the Periodic Table of Elements (Chemistry), Newton's Laws of Motion and Forces (Physics), as well as the Space Exploration the Evolution of Stars (Astronomy). This unit builds on Core Science ideas and provides extra preparation for VCE Physical Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Environmental Science). Students must select at least one unit of Science in Year 10.

Assessment Tasks:

Throughout the Semester you will complete a range of assessment tasks including Practical Experiments, Research Projects, and Tests. These will be done mainly in class time and will enable you to demonstrate achievement of the course aims.
