Wagga Wagga High School Careers
The WWHS Careers Team have put together a website with all the information that you need as you move into the Senior school, including HSC supports, post-school options, workplace learning and information for parents/carers. You can also book an appointment to talk to our friendly Careers Adviser about your options.
Year 11 & 12 Pathways
TAFE is conveniently located across the road from WWHS. As well as traineeships and apprenticeships for school leavers, it also offers a Year 10 equivalency course and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. If you’re not sure which would be the best fit for you, book an appointment with our Careers Adviser.
Indie School Wagga Wagga is an independent alternative high school for students aged 15 to 18 in the Riverina. It delivers the Year 9 and 10 NSW curriculum and Year 11 and 12 HSC curriculum. If you are considering Indie School as an option, you can contact them directly or talk to our Head Teacher Wellbeing for further support.
Finigan School of Distance Education
Finigan’s offers single-subject or full enrolment for high school students who are eligible under a variety of categories, such as students with a medical condition, including mental health. Information about enrolment criteria and the necessary application forms can be found here.
OCTEC is a not-for-profit, employment service. They offer a Transition to Work (TTW) program, funded by the Australian Government, that helps young people aged 15-24 years. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work readiness of young people and to help them into work (including Apprenticeships and Traineeships) or education. It has a strong focus on helping young people to understand what is expected in the workplace and to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours expected by employers. OMNIA Inclusive Employment Solutions
OMNIA are a disability employment and Youth NDIS service that partner with individuals, carers, employers, community groups and allied health providers to create personalised programs that focus on increasing independence and social skills and finding meaningful long-term employment.
