Percussion Ensemble

This ensemble encourages students to learn about the use of percussion in orchestra, latin percussion, video game and movie music. Students get the chance to choose repertoire and learn how to improvise, and it is a great opportunity for piano players to develop ensemble skills.

Rehearsals: 3:15-4:15pm on Monday afternoons in the Hall, with Joe Gould

Instruments: Piano, Drumkit, Mallet Percussion (Xylophone, Marimba, Glockenspiel), Djembes, all Percussion

Experience: Open to years 7-12, beginners and advanced players all welcome

Private tuition: Encouraged but not required

Sheet music reading skills: Helpful but not required
