Welcome to a new term! We hope you had a lovely time with your children during the break, although we were excited to welcome them back to school after having much appreciated time with our own families. 

This term we look forward to some special events, including Education Week (week 3), Book Week (week 6), Fathers' Day and Years 3-6 camp in Sydney at the end of term. 

Most notably, we are excited for our skipping squad and AUSLAN choir studnents to perform at the Tomaree Learning Community's Education Week Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 4th August. A full rehearsal will take place at Tomaree High during the day, on the Monday prior. ALL families are welcome to join us at Tomaree High's Multipurpose Centre (MPC) for the awards ceremony, regardless of whether their child is performing or not. It would be wonderful to have a large Bobs Farm continingent in the audience to cheer them on. We will also be acknowledging some special achievements by students, staff and community members with awards on the evening, which we are excited about. The ceremony is from 5:30-7:30pm on Tues 4th August. Please join us!

Thank you to Mrs Parker for her tireless work in preparing the skipping group for this event. We can't wait to watch you all shine on stage! Thank you also to Mrs Moore for all of her logistical organisation for these events. She puts a lot of time and effort into ensuring information is shared, and the finer details are arranged, which we are all appreciative of. 

Thank you also to Mrs Hodgson for stepping in for me this week, as I am in Melbourne watching our youngest daughter participate in the Australian U15 All Schools Games, where she is playing hockey for NSW. We are also looking forward to catching some of the other sports at the games. It feels a little like our own small version of the Commonwealth Games, which some of you have no doubt been enjoying these past few days. Keep an eye out for 17-year old Albury High School student, Sienna Toohey, who is competing in the breaststroke swimming. Her father was the best man at our wedding! I wonder which Bobs Farm students we may see participating in events like this in the future?  

We will once again be celebrating Book Week in week 6, so start thinking about those costumes. We'd love to have parents join us in dressing up, too, this year!

If your child is attending primary camp this year, please try to keep those payments coming in. We will be distributing more information as it comes to hand.
