Welcome back to an exciting new term! After a refreshing holiday break, it has been wonderful to reunite with Ms Kris and return to the classroom with enthusiasm. We are thrilled to welcome five new Kindy students who have settled seamlessly, as if they’ve been part of our community all along. We already know we have a potential Veterinarian, a truck driver, ice cream shop owners and someone that just wants to stay at school! Each morning, we’ve engaged in intentional play to support a smooth transition into the school year and classroom routines. Already, we’re witnessing the incredible benefits of this approach—students are collaborating creatively. From simple building toys they have created impressive car models and animals and then went on to develop a whole new play area. By creating microphones and video cameras from the same blocks they started filming and interviewing the classroom, classmates and even me. The children have demonstrated excellent teamwork as they allocated roles and worked together across different scenarios. It has been an outstanding start to 2026, and we look forward to a fantastic term ahead!

The primary class have had an extremely productive start to the year. What a gorgeous learning space they have to enjoy this year, thanks to a very hardworking and dedicated Mrs Burns.
The class have been working very hard already establishing effective work habits and routines. But as everyone knows, taking care of your wellbeing is critical if you're going to be at your best for learning, which is why the primary class has begun regular mindfulness activities. With Mrs Burns being an experienced yoga teacher, the class are definitely in good hands!
