Today we finally got to attend the NAIDOC March in Raymond Terrace, after it was postponed last term due to the weather. This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about our local Worimi culture, but also to engage with members of our wider community through fun and interesting experiences. Our students joined our school leaders in marching with other local schools and groups from around Port Stephens. It was wild and windy, but what a fantastic range of activities and experiences we had. We may be a small school, but we certainly make sure we get involved in our local community events as we love being connected to the people and places around us!
Sroll through the NAIDOC March photos. What a great day we had!
This term, we've been fortunate enough to secure a Sporting Schools grant, which has allowed us to book Max from Gecko Sports to conduct a series of golf lessons.
How lucky we were on Friday to not only have some sunshine, but also that the fields had dried just enough to allow us to tee off!
