Congratulations to all the students in stage 2 and 3 who reached the school finals of the Central Coast Public Speaking Competition. The prepared speeches were all such a high standard this year, that it was difficult to separate the top speakers.
The stage 2 finalists were: Sophia, Sage, Marshall, Raife, Oakley, Jay, Chloe and Elizabeth.
The stage 3 finalists were: Isabella, Fraizzier, Daniel, Archie, Boadicea, Serena, Brayden, Harriette, Kaede and Brad.
All these students should be congratulated for their hard work in the competition. It was a pleasure to listen to such wonderful speakers.
Our winners were Chloe and Oakley from Stage 2 and Daniel and Archie from Stage 3.
These students will go on to represent Wyong Public School at the District Finals in September. We wish these students all the best on the day and I’m sure they will make our school proud.
Congratulations once again to all the students who participated in the competition. I’d like to thank Tilly, Bailey, Emmy, and Sophie for being such wonderful hosts and timekeepers. A big thank you must also go to Mrs Carter and Mrs Stevens for their fine job in adjudicating the finals alongside me. The class teachers also need to be commended for doing such a terrific job in preparing the students so well for the competition.
