Term 2, Week 10, 2025
Well, here we are, halfway through the school year already! Can you believe it? I certainly can't.
What a great term we've had. There have been so many moments this term that have made me feel so proud of our little school and all the people in it.
I love roaming around in the mornings when Breakfast Club is on, watching everyone gathering around and having brekkie together. When collecting the Woolworths donation last week, I explained to the staff how lovely the experience is and how it always feels like just one big family meal time together. Of course, I also shared how grateful we are for Woolworths' weekly contributions to providing this opportunity for our children. The staff were equally as happy, as they recognise just how important it is for children to start the day with a delicious and nutritious meal.
I also loved hearing the feedback from our touch football team about their game against Glen William PS last Monday. Possibly my favourite part was seeing Daisy and Phoenix return to the classroom, still decked out in their beautiful new school sports shirts and with huge smiles on their faces, and when I asked, "How did it go?" Daisy replied, "It was good. We got annihilated, but it was really fun."
I just loved that positive attitude and appreciation for the experience!
I want to thank all of you who engaged in parent-teacher interviews last week. I hope you found the experience beneficial, and we look forward to continuing to work together to support your children's education. After all, that's our core business and what we, as teachers, get enjoyment and gratification from. We love seeing your children grow, learn and be happy.
We look forward to rounding out the term with events such as the NAIDOC March for our Aboriginal students in Raymond Terrace Thursday, July 3.
I wish you all a safe, happy and relaxing holiday. Enjoy spending time with your family. I know one of my favourite things about school holidays is getting to be with my own children just that little bit more than I often get to during the term. For those travelling, please stay safe and have a lovely time. We look forward to hearing about everyone's holiday break when we return.
Remember, students return on TUESDAY 22nd July.
Happy Week 10 and happy holidays, everyone!

Often, you may see a story about how a student in a school has achieved great things in a wide range of fields: dance, public speaking, debating, leadership, cultural, sports or academic pursuits.
But not often do you see or hear the story behind that achievement.
Bobs Farm PS are proud to present ELLA.
Ella is our sole year 5 student. That's a challenge enough in itself, when you don't have any direct peers to work with, meaning you're always working with students older or younger than yourself.
But that never stops Ella. It doesn't even deter her.
That's because Ella is focused, driven, self-motivated and sure knows how to set goals!
Last year, after a positive experience participating in the zone cross country championships, Ella decided that she would set her sights on achieving a spot in the Port Stephens Zone Cross Country team for 2025.
It's one thing to have a wish, a desire, a dream.
It's another to do what it takes to make it a reality.
Ella set herself a set of micro steps; small achievable targets. She strived to beat her personal best time each time that she set out on the running track, and after hearing from Mrs Baxter about a thing called Park Run, she convinced her parents to sign her up and take her each Saturday morning.
Ella focused on that goal, never wavering and always believing that she could get there.
And get there she did!
Not only did Ella earn herself a spot on that Port Stephens Zone team, she managed to beat scores of other students from all around the Hunter region across that finish line, finishing a highly admirable 31st place in the regional event.
Our Bobs Farm community are so proud of you Ella, not only for your fabulous race achievement, but for showing us all just what it means to set a goal, make plans to get there, then meticulously put those plans into place. We love your positive and determined spirit. Keep leading the way!
